一般的なボイストレーニングでは禁止しているような練習方法も、声の発達の段階によっては必要な要素の一つとなります。「のどを開ける」「脱力して歌う」「肩や首のリラックス」などは、行うべき時期があります。最初からやれば良いというわけではありません。良い練習方法も時期を間違えば有害になる可能性があるため、丁寧に時間をかけて声を育てることが大切です。
合唱コンクールでは、いきなり難しい曲や現代音楽を歌う場合があります。個人個人の声の発達に配慮した方が良いので、難しい技術よりも基礎練習が大切です。部活を引退した後の合唱の取り組みのためにも、基礎の発声練習を重視した方が良いです。
